Nil Hartman both belongs and stands out in what we have called french touch 2.0. Far from the rough beats that donnot spare room for imagination, he composes rich and melodic techno music. This mad scientists does not hide behing his laptop and monome, he gives a lot of himself when on stage and gives back the crazyness that misses on some dance floors. Discovered by Fluokids and Pedro Winter (aka Busy P), his influences are utterly different than what we could have expected, from Erik Satie to Aphex Twin, Daedalus, My Bloody Valentine and the masters of techno music back in the Motor City. It may be the reason why his music feels personal as well as infectious.
